Damon Carbajal, MA student in the Department of Chicana and Chicano Studies, won a place at the LoboBITES competition, which is part of UNM’s Shared Knowledge Conference. His presentation was titled, “Queer Critical Theory: A Key to Equity for Latinx LGBTQ+ Students in High School.” He was cheered on by Dr. Patricia Covarrubias, Director of Graduate Programs in the Department of Chicana and Chicano Studies.
