Raquel Andrea Madrigal
Raquel Andrea Madrigal is a Doctoral Candidate in the Department of American Studies at the University of New Mexico. She received her master’s degree from the same university program, and completed two bachelor degrees in Ethnic Studies and Political Science/Public Service from the University of California, Riverside.
Currently she is working on submitting her article for the Critical Ethnic Studies Journal Fall 2017 General Issue titled: “The Tohono O’odham Nation and Undocumented Indigenous Migrants and Immigrants: Crafting Out A Decolonial and Relational Analysis to Dismantle U.S. Settler Colonialism at the U.S.-Mexico Border.”
Her research interests broadly include the intersections between comparative ethnic studies and critical Indigenous studies.
