Trenzas: Margaret Montoya Stories braids, in the words of Margaret Montoya herself and the words of those closest to her, highlights key moments in a life dedicated to achievement, including her career at UNM.

This documentary celebrates the first Latina to be admitted to Harvard Law School, her sustained leadership, and her consistent commitment to civil rights, racial justice, and health equity.

Trenzas: Margaret Montoya serves as chronicle of key moments and conditions during the US Civil Rights Movement that ultimately inspired Critical Race Theory and its methodologies.
